MTAG are committed partners in the manufacture of world class composite leisure craft for RS Sailing, specialising in the high-volume construction of lightweight teaching and racing dinghies for the global market. We manufacture high quality polyester and epoxy, glass and carbon fibre reinforced hulls ranging from the 33kg single hander RS Aero to the family and training friendly RS Venture designed for up to 8 people.

In 2019, the RS Aero finished first in the 2024 Olympic Equipment Selection for the Men’s and Women’s One Person Dinghy and was described as:

‘It is mass production ready; it is already being mass produced and produces a high-end quality product. This quality was well recognised by MNA sailors and was considered the highest in terms of value for money. The builder is in a satisfactory position to produce and deliver boats in reasonable time scale’

‘The hull is very light; it requires sensitive boat handling and was considered by the sailors at the evaluation to reward higher sailing skills. It’s light weight and its size make it attractive and suitable for the youth pathway. Its hull is engineered with modern materials and modern production methods’

Controversially, the Aero was not chosen by the World Sailing Council for 2024, but efforts to increase production, expand the availability across the globe and provide accessible used units continue with MTAG having made over 2500+ boats to date.
